The First Official National Spray Tanning Day
While 2023 may be the year of celebrating milestone anniversaries such as Norvell turning 40 or Mystic Tan turning 25, we are also having a year of exciting firsts. National Spray Tanning Day being one that we are beyond excited about. At Sunless, we are always looking for ways to help educate and promote all of the benefits that spray tanning (and self-tanning) has to offer like evening of skin complexion, hydration and firming, and an instant confidence boost. So, it only made sense to make an official day surrounding spray tanning. We worked with the National Day Calendar to secure the spot for every third Thursday in March of each year so that we can help to educate people during a time when everyone is trying to escape the winter blues and get the warmth in their skin back. Spray tanning allows every skin tone to achieve that sun-kissed glow in just a few minutes!
To kick-off this glowing day we held an influencer event in Los Angeles, California where we were joined by 18 wonderful ladies to celebrate all things sunless tanning and International Women’s Day! We started the day off with some calming and meditative sunset yoga on the rooftop of a gorgeous Airbnb located in West Hollywood, just underneath the Hollywood Sign. After yoga, we then provided free spray tans while everyone got ready for a cocktail hour with our signature drink: “The Glow-Tini”. After cocktail hour, our guests sat at a beautifully decorated long table and were served a delicious 4 course meal while discussing their favorite things about spray tanning. We even gifted each guest with a preview of our new products launching this month. (Hint: 3.24.2023)
Many of the women who attended our event had not been familiar with the spray tanning process, so it was awesome to educate them about how spray tanning is for everyone! They all we’re so excited after they saw their tan lines from their spray tans for the first time! If you’ve ever spray tanned, you already know that’s the best part.
There are many different ways to celebrate National Spray Tanning Day but the most important way is to get a spray tan of course! We were able to have over 800 locations nation-wide participate which surpassed our goal of 500. We hope that next year we will have double that number in participation! Our hashtags for the day were #NationalSprayTanningDay and #GetYourGlowOn where we were able to see all of the lovely glows that everyone was getting. If you missed, the day, don’t worry.
